Fudgey Orange Chocolate Brownies
convinced there is nothing better in life than a fresh batch of flourless & vegan brownies cause you get to eat the batter while waiting for the finished product to cool aaaand then you also get to eat the finished product! As a Florida native, I basically grew up eating oranges and have always wanted to highlight their flavor in a recipe and adding them to my brownies dinner on me while eating a piece of orange chocolate so, if you’re a fan of orange chocolate this recipe is for you! The perfect fudgey gooey brownie with just a hint of orange flavor!
Fudgey Orange Chocolate Brownies
1/3 cup dates
1/4 cup warm water
1/4 cup applesauce
1/4 cup sweet potato puree
1/3 cup cacao
1 tsp baking powder
Zest of one orange
1 tablespoon juice from orange (for a stronger orange flavor, use orange extract)
Chocolate chips (optional but advised)
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350. Combine all ingredients (except peanuts and chocolate chips) in a food processor and blend until combined. Mix in the chocolate chips. Line a bread pan with parchment paper, add the brownie mix into the pan and bake for approximately 25-30 minutes. The brownie will SUPER be fudgey and gooey in the middle and will not “bake” through but they are vegan, so no need to worry! Enjoy!
